Module 5 Process

Participant 1: 
Art teacher, working on incorporating digital art into her classroom.
Participant 2:
New graphics teacher, who has taught college level and worked in the industry.
Participant 3: 
New graphics teacher, no previous experience in graphic design.
Participant 4: 
Has been teaching for 20+ years. Teaching art, digital photography and video. But has never taught graphics
Participant 5: 
Student who is looking at going into graphic design as a profession. She loves art but is looking to study something that has career potential.

Questions:

1. Why do you think I ask you all to be a part of my focus group? 
   
2. What is something you all have in common, based on this grouping?
   
3. You all currently understand what graphic design is, correct? Do you feel that graphic design being taught in high school is beneficial to students? Why or why not? Please elaborate.
   
4. What do you feel is the most important concept/skill for graphic design students to know in order to be able to use their skills in other job professions?
   
5. Do you enjoy coming up with your own content for your graphic design classes? Or would you rather have someplace to go (website, app, etc.) to find specific content geared towards skills?
   
6. Do you as teachers/students understand what the design process is? If you do, could you explain why you think it is important? If you don’t know what it is, could you explain why you think you haven’t been taught this process?
   
7. Is there anything else you would like to add? Anything that I didn’t ask that you think would be of importance to the topic?
